About

About me

I obtained my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Power Engineering from Shahrood University of Technology in Shahrood, Semnan, Iran, in 2018. As I was recognized as a talented individual, I pursued further education at the same university and completed my Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Power Electronics and Electric Machines in early 2023. The focus of my master’s thesis was on the Dynamic Modeling of an Axial Flux Hysteresis-Reluctance Machine.

During this project, I first developed a design algorithm for the Reluctance machine and then combined it with a modified version of the existing Hysteresis machine design method, resulting in a novel Hysteresis-Reluctance design algorithm. I applied the Preisach Model and utilized the integral form of Maxwell’s equations to achieve the desired dynamic modeling. Subsequently, I fabricated a prototype machine to validate the theoretical findings.

While pursuing my education, I have also been working for a knowledge-based company since 2020. Over time, I have progressed to the position of senior engineer in the Engineering Department and have taken on the role of supervisor at the Substation Automation Systems Laboratory.

With a diverse background that includes over 6 years of laboratory experience, 7 years in teaching, and 3 years in the industry, I have honed my skills and gained valuable expertise. My true passion lies in the captivating realm of analyzing and investigating electromagnetic devices and exploring the potential of renewable energies. With unwavering enthusiasm, I am committed to making a meaningful contribution in these areas.

My academic background, research interests, skills, and experiences can be summarized as follows.

I have successfully facilitated the seamless integration of ABB RTU560 and SIEMENS Telegyr Systems, ensuring efficient communication and compatibility between these two systems. By leveraging my expertise, I conducted thorough investigations to assess the compatibility of ABB RTU560 with GE Relays, employing the industry-standard IEC61850 protocol. This comprehensive assessment allowed for the smooth and reliable operation of these systems, enhancing overall functionality and performance.

Furthermore, I have demonstrated proficiency in configuring and implementing the logic associated with the Busbar Coloring feature in the ABB RTU Human-Machine Interface (HMI) using KW Multiprog. This involved designing and programming logical functionalities that enable the effective visualization and management of busbars within the system. Through meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of system requirements, I ensured the accurate and efficient operation of the Busbar Coloring feature.

These accomplishments highlight my expertise in system integration, compatibility assessment, and logic programming within the context of ABB RTU560. By successfully connecting different systems and optimizing their functionalities, I have contributed to the seamless and effective operation of complex power systems.

Research Assistant

Under the guidance of Dr. Amir Hasannia, I successfully conducted detailed modeling work on a dual-rotor axial flux induction motor using JMAG-Designer. This involved developing a comprehensive model that accurately captured the motor’s intricate characteristics and performance.

Dual-Rotor Induction Motor

Additionally, I utilized JMAG-Designer to model and simulate a Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor. This involved studying the motor’s behavior, optimizing its design, and analyzing its performance under various operating conditions.

In another project, I had the opportunity to perform an experimental test on a Transverse Flux Permanent-Magnet Generator. Working closely with Prof. Ahmad Darabi, I set up the necessary equipment and conducted thorough measurements to evaluate the generator’s efficiency and performance characteristics. This practical testing provided valuable insights into the real-world behavior of the generator.

Furthermore, I conducted an in-depth investigation into the effect of changing the yoke thickness in a Circumferential Hysteresis-Reluctance Motor, under the guidance of Prof. Ahmad Darabi. Through theoretical analysis and practical simulations, I explored how variations in the yoke thickness impacted the motor’s performance, efficiency, and overall behavior.

These experiences have equipped me with advanced skills in motor modeling, simulation, and experimental testing. Collaborating with esteemed experts like Prof. Ahmad Darabi and Dr. Amir Hasannia has further enhanced my knowledge and expertise in the field.
